Graduation 2022

At the end of September, the second cohort of 38 Undergraduate Engineers completed their four-year degree apprenticeship to graduate from The Dyson Institute, with the degree delivered and awarded by Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG).

Speaking at the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology 2022 graduation celebration, Sir James Dyson encouraged graduates to never lose their curiosity. He reflected on how global events of the past four years, from pandemic to war, had shaped them uniquely and with a belief that they were all the stronger for it, having studied and worked alongside Dyson engineers.

We live in tumultuous times. During your time at Dyson, the scale of the political, and global events unfolding, has been seismic. Crosswinds, of a type not seen in my lifetime, have attempted to blow us off course at every juncture. Not just us - similar forces have affected almost every business globally. Through all of this upheaval you have been working and studying. Learning and doing. For you it is now ‘normal’ and you are all-the-stronger for it.

Remain curious, stretch yourself and you will achieve more than you ever thought possible… Our future is in your hands.
