Malmesbury is tucked away in countryside, famous for the landmarks of Isambard Brunel, who revolutionised modern engineering. A charming Wiltshire market town doesn’t sound like the sort of place to develop world-leading technology, but Dyson has settled in well. Our secluded location helps us to protect our ideas and stay independent-minded.

Just down the road are independent shops, restaurants and pubs often frequented by Dyson people – creating a campus-like community in the town.

Many people also live in the nearby cities of Bristol and Bath (where a young James Dyson invented his first vacuum cleaner). Use the map below to explore these and the other towns surrounding Malmesbury – all less than an hour away by car.
